James (b 1831).

Serge fuller/folder, miller, labourer.  First wife Mary Ann, wool weaver, her father James, comber.  Second wife Sarah mangler, her father William Addison, gamekeeper.  Lived at Rockwell Green and Tonedale, Wellington.

Elizabeth (c 5.1.1834).

Burler. Husband and his father James labourers.

Mary Anne (c 19.1.1836).

Burler. Husband and her father John labourers

John (b 18.8.1859).

Fuller, wool weaver.  Wife Elizabeth wool weaver, her father Edward, husbandman.  John does not appear on Wellington censuses 1851/71/81, Elizabeth lodging at Blackmore's Place 1871, and living with her mother and son Charles at Mount Terrace 1881.   A John, 41, unmarried Army pensioner born Wellington was a patient in Taunton & Somerset Hospital, East Reach, Taunton, at 1881 census, and but for marital status appears identical (there is no other candidate) - Army service would account for his absence from Wellington censuses.  Divorce seems unlikely, and Elisabeth is shown in the same census as married, separation or census recording error may be the answer.  Died at Wellington Workhouse.

Edward (b 1846).

Born Wellington.   Fuller dyer.  Wife Mary Ann burler, wool labourer, her father Charles, fuller.  Family home Tonedale, Wellington.

Sarah Jane (b 9.9.1849)

Burler.

Charles (b 6.6.1854).

Factory labourer 1871, Private, Royal Marines, at Stonehouse Barracks, Plymouth, at marriage, wife Amelia's father Henry, miner.  No record of death of either Charles or Ameli to 1940.

Caroline (b 21.4.1856).

Living with grandparents James and Ann Templar at Wellington, 1861, factory labourer 1871, husband miller, his father John, gasman.

James (b 6.8.1865).

Spinner, engine cleaner, labourer, wife Jane's father Robert wheelwright.  Lived at 26, Burgage, Wellington. Jane re-married 1917(1) Wellington RD, James E. Jordan.

Charles Henry (b 1863(4)).

Insurance agent, bricklayer, wife Emily's father George, glover.  There was a 1919(4) Yeovil RD marriage of an Emily to John Stephens and no other known candidate; no record of death of Charles Henry to 1940. A W. T. Jefferies was witness to Charles and Emily's marriage, his names appear to have been used for their son.

Fanny (b 1869(4)).

Appears on 1871 and 1881 censuses and marriage record as Annie, weaver at marriage, husband of Fulford, York, his father Henry.

Alfred Edward (b 1873(1)).

Labourer, soldier.   No.3253, Private, Somerset Light Infantry, service in India (Punjab) 11897/8, and in South Africa, Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Bloemfontein, King's South Africa Medal with 1901/2 clasps. Discharged to Army Reserve. Wife Harriet's father William, mason.

Mattress maker, bricklayer, labourer, clerk.  Wife Elizabeth Ann factory hand, her father John, collier.

Ellen (b 1876(1)).

Husband William fitter, his father Thomas, engine driver.

Florence (b 1877(2)).

Factory hand, husband also, his father Thomas, labourer.

Louisa (b 1879(1)).

Husband engine driver, his father Thomas, labourer.

Rosa (b 5.2.1885).

Married as Rose, husband factory hand, his father William Henry, mason.

Factory operative, washer, wife Gladys’s father David, labourer.

Factory operative, wife Ella's father Jonathan, same, only child Basil Perry (21.7.1917).

Railway labourer, wife Florence Mary's father William, bootmaker.  Lived at Rowbarton, Taunton, daughter Phyllis Mary born 9.6.1932.

William Thomas (b 12.5,1904).

Labourer, factory worker, wife Gladys Victoria net maker, her father John, gas fitter.  William died before 1963. Children Anthony John Charles (13.11.1935, Peter William (13.2.1938), Roy (5.6.1940).

Robert (b 24.10.1909).

Believed to have died in 1939/45 War.

Edna Maud (b 1916).

Husband cabinetmaker, his father Samuel, patrolman.

Stanley James (b 1913(2)).

Spinner, soldier Somerset Light Infantry (1942), warper, wife Violet Ellen mender, her father Walter Samuel, fuller.  Children Shirley Rose Hayman (4.8.1932) and David James (13.4.1942)

Robert (Ronald) Francis (b 25.4.1922).

Baptised as Robert in error (older brother was Robert), known as. Ronald. Spray polisher, bed factory worker, wife Phyllis Georgina office worker, her father Edward, builder's labourer.   Children Janet Valerie (20.1.1950), Paul Anthony (17.5.1957), Barry Andrew (24.9.1958).

Pearl (b 26.6.1923).

Glass blower, husband Dennis carpenter, his father William John, factory worker. Children Marlene Rosemary Ridgway (23.7.1949), Grahame John (23.2.1953), Julie Ann Fox (5.4.1958).

Daniel Harry (b 26.6.1923).

Painter, wife Pamela Joyce school cleaner, her father Wallis John, seaman.
