Elizabeth c 15.5,1803,

married by license, husband bricklayer (widower), son of Thomas, farmer, both parties living at Shoreditch, father shown as "Orkan, farmer", could not sign her name and probably could not read, hence difficulty with father's name, no member of her family signed the register.

 

William b 1806,

cooper living at 3, Rich Street, Bethnal Green, at marriage, wife Hannah's father Jeremiah, plumber; on 1851 Census at 15, South Street, Limehouse, with wife and children, on same census at Limehouse Workhouse children's establishment, John Waygett, 10 years, "occupation and birthplace unknown” - no obvious connection but for possible alternative link see William c 16.2.1812 in 1993 Update of original (a contemporary Waygedd found elsewhere was baptised Waggott).

 

James c 17.2.1808,

unmarried porter living at 38, Ferdinand Place, St. Pancras, 1851, as lodger, married his landlord's widow, Mary Ann, her father Andrew Underwood.

James John b 1853(3),

pastrycook at marriage, wife Frances's father Charles Edward, fishmonger, Frances re‑married 1887(1) Mile End Rd, Lauchlan McLean, grocer and cheesemonger, and appears with him on 1891 census at 56, Anton St., Limehouse Fields, London E., with Emma b 1881(4), two children of the second marriage and a domestic servant. Frances appears in 1887/9 directories at same address, in Waygood name, as haberdasher; in 1881 the premises had been occupied by a Smith family, including a daughter Mary, then aged 5 years, who appears to have been beneficiary of the will of a Frances Waygood who died at Newent, Glos. on 11.11.1900, but whose death is not in the national index in the name Waygood or McLean.

 

William James b 1866(3),

commercial traveller, living at 40, Dorset Road, Upton, Forest Gates London, 1898/9, and at 9, Winchester Road, Ilford, 1901; no trace of family after 1905 (to 1940), probably emigrated.

 

Alfred York b 1877(4),

lived at Upminster, died in a London hospital.

 

George Frederick b 1885(3),

died in accident.

 

William Albert b 1890(3),

printer.

 

Elizabeth Martin b 1895(1),

married a Canadian soldier.

Edward Horace b 1897(3),

worked in building trade, the other brothers are thought to have worked in or around London and Tilbury docks.

 

Paul Enos b 1923(4),

only son, Paul, living in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, 1990.

 

Edward Anthony b 1925(3),

radio and television engineer, living at 20, Tyrone Road, Thorpe Bay, Southend-on-Sea, 1990 one son and one daughter by first marriage, two daughters by second, only son had two daughters.
