In 1881 at Prospect Cottage, Canal Road, Taunton, with wife and Sarah Shettock, 63 (described as aunt, presumably Sarah's). In later years Mark lived in the small lodge leading to Norton Fitzwarren Church, and probably worked in a nearby bakery. No record of children.

Emily's children, all baptized Spaxton, William John 1880, Elizabeth Mary 1882, Edith Bessie 1884, Mary Anne 1887, Ernest Edward 1889, Florence Clara 1892, Lucy 1896, Reginald George 1900. Reginald almost certainly adopted the name Brown, to become Reginald Porter-Brown, cinema and radio organist.

Bristol directory shows a Frederick at 1, Skinner Street, St. Paul's (general shop) in 1899; no other likely candidate can be found, and his sister Louisa and brother Edward both spent some time in the City. Edward followed an unidentified Herbert into 59, High Street, Lower Easton, Bristol, no Herbert fits and it seems likely that the earlier tenant was Frederick. Frederick's address at marriage West Dock Hotel, Cardiff, wife's residence 1, Prior Street, Port Talbot. No record of children.
